Harbour Group Associate Nominated for “Young Women of Achievement” Award

Washington, D.C. – February 14, 2008 – Courtney Sieloff, an Associate at The Harbour Group, was among 22 women honored as nominees for the prestigious Young Women of Achievement Award presented by WIN (Women’s Information Network).  This is an annual award recognizing young, Democratic women leaders in the Washington, D.C. area.

“This is a great honor for Courtney and for The Harbour Group,” said Richard Marcus, Managing Director of The Harbour Group. “We are proud of Courtney’s accomplishments and her dedication to public policy issues both in the office and in the community.”

The awards ceremony featured Christine Pelosi as the keynote speaker and was held at the National Women’s Democratic Club.  Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was in attendance at the event.

At The Harbour Group, Ms. Sieloff focuses on new media strategies for clients.  She was nominated for the Young Women of Achievement because of her dedication to mentoring the next generation of progressive leaders, particularly young women.  She is the founder and principal of JobsthatareLEFT, a nation-wide job bank and community dedicated to assisting job seekers and mentoring young progressives.  She is also a co-founder of Women in Progressive Technology, an organization that seeks to encourage women to be active participants online and in non-traditional campaign roles.  Ms. Sieloff has been an active member of WIN since 2003 and has currently joined their Sustainers program, a mid-level advisory board.  She is also a volunteer with the Everybody Wins “Power Lunch” program.  Ms. Sieloff is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Women’s Studies and Public Policy from the George Washington University.   She received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
