Veteran Labor Relations and Crisis Communications Expert Joins The Harbour Group

July 19, 2007 – Washington, D.C. – The Harbour Group announced today that Susanne Deegan has joined The Harbour Group’s expanding ranks as Managing Director – New York.  Ms. Deegan brings with her expertise in developing and executing strategic communications campaigns around collective bargaining, union organizing campaigns, litigation, crisis preparedness and response.

Ms. Deegan hails from Burson-Marsteller, where she helped to launch and grow the firm’s labor relations sub-practice. Her work included designing and implementing strategic communications programs to protect client brand reputation and business operations during collective bargaining or corporate campaigns.  Ms. Deegan has worked with companies and trade associations in the aerospace, consumer products, energy, elevator, hospitality, higher education, newspapers, steel, tire, transportation and textile industries.

Ms. Deegan’s professional experience also includes working in the public sector where she held positions in the New York City Mayor’s office, including Director of Public and Government Affairs at the Department of City Planning and the City Planning Commission.  She received her bachelor’s degree in advertising and communications from Johnson & Wales University.
