Susanne Deegan
Managing Director, New York

Susanne Deegan is a Managing Director at The Harbour Group where she focuses on labor relations and crisis communications. She specializes in working with employers and industry trade associations to develop and execute strategic communications programs around collective bargaining, union organizing campaigns, litigation, crisis preparedness and response.

Ms. Deegan has over 14 years of experience in both the public and private sector. She joined The Harbour Group from Burson-Marsteller, where she helped to launch and grow the firm’s labor relations sub-practice across the United States.

Ms. Deegan works with clients to develop and execute strategic communications programs that are designed to help them protect their brand reputation and business operations during collective bargaining or corporate campaigns. She has worked with companies and trade associations in the aerospace, consumer products, energy, elevator, hospitality, higher education, newspapers, steel, tire, transportation and textile industries.

Ms. Deegan also has experience in the public sector where she held positions in the New York City Mayor’s office, including Director of Public and Government Affairs at the Department of City Planning and the City Planning Commission. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Legislative Representative in the Mayor’s Office of City Legislative Affairs. She received her bachelor’s degree in advertising and communications from Johnson & Wales University.
