Seth Horwitz
Director

Seth Horwitz is a Director at The Harbour Group. He was previously at Burson-Marsteller, where he was a member of the firm’s Crisis and Issues Management team within the U.S. Corporate Practice.

While at Burson-Marsteller, Mr. Horwitz managed strategic communications programs for a variety of Fortune 500 clients on a broad range of issues. Specifically, his assignments focused on crisis and issues management, litigation support, regulatory inquiry, public affairs, crisis preparedness and training, labor relations, product recalls and ally development.

Mr. Horwitz provided on-site litigation support for Mr. Ronald Perelman’s West Palm Beach trial team that won a $1.6 billion jury verdict in Coleman (Parent) Holdings Inc. v. Morgan Stanley & Co., Incorporated — one of the largest jury verdicts ever awarded to a single plaintiff in American history.

Previously, Mr. Horwitz served as Press Secretary for the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a chief spokesperson for then District Attorney Martha Coakley who had jurisdiction over 54 cities and towns and 1.5 million people in Massachusetts, Mr. Horwitz gained experience in crisis management, strategic litigation support and media relations, interfacing with local, regional, and national media on a daily basis.

Mr. Horwitz was responsible for conducting media relations at crime scenes, as well as throughout the duration of hundreds of criminal prosecutions. While serving, he worked on many criminal litigation matters which garnered a high level of national media interest, such as Commonwealth of Massachusetts v. Thomas Junta (hockey dad trial) and Commonwealth of Massachusetts v. Father Paul Shanley.

Mr. Horwitz is a graduate of Union College, in Schenectady, New York, where he earned degree in Political Science. He is currently pursuing an M.B.A degree at The F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Mr. Horwitz also studied abroad at Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheva, Israel.
