Jessica Schultz
Account Coordinator

Jessica Schultz is an Account Coordinator at The Harbour Group where she works on corporate communications campaigns.

Prior to joining The Harbour Group, Ms. Schultz worked in the Finance and Compliance department at EMILY’s List, a political action committee that fundraises for Democratic women running for office. At EMILY’s List, Ms. Schultz was responsible for tracking any general “EMILY” contributions, as well as donations that came in for each of the endorsed House, Senate and gubernatorial candidates.  Ms. Schultz got her start at EMILYs List at an internship during the 2006 election cycle.

Ms. Schultz’s first professional experiences were internships in the campaign and Capitol Hill offices of Congresswoman Melissa Bean, her representative from the 8th district of Illinois.  In the campaign office, Ms. Schultz had the responsibility of organizing fundraising events and staffing the Congresswoman at local appearances in town.  While working in the Capitol Hill office, Ms. Schultz was given the opportunity to address constituents’ concerns and to brief staff on environmental and budget hearings.

During her last semester of undergraduate studies, Ms. Schultz interned at The Harbour Group which sparked her interest in public affairs and communications. Ms. Schultz played a major role in building media lists and pitching news stories to health and consumer reporters.

Ms. Schultz graduated from the American University in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in French.  She completed her minor during a semester abroad at La Sorbonne in Paris, France.
