Jennifer Spector
Associate
Jennifer Spector is an Associate at The Harbour Group where she focuses on implementing a wide range of programs for clients in the firm’s public affairs practice, including traditional and online media relations, third-party outreach and events. She specializes in legislative issues, particularly pertaining to health and technology, and provides issues management and media relations support for the firm's inside the beltway clients. Prior to joining The Harbour Group as an Account Coordinator in 2008, Ms. Spector was an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania in her hometown of Philadelphia.
Ms. Spector gained professional experience at The Brownstein Group, a full-service advertising agency in Philadelphia, where she worked in the Public Relations Department. She supported health care, consumer, and charitable client accounts by researching industry trends, client competition, and speaking and media opportunities. Before entering the Public Relations field, Ms. Spector was an intern for The Fund for Independence in Journalism (TFIJ), a non-profit in Washington, D.C., where she worked directly with author and investigative journalist Charles Lewis to help create a factual database about the Iraq war that is being developed into a book.
Ms. Spector graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She is a volunteer organizer and fundraiser for CAUSE, an organization that that supports soldiers and their families at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and also enjoys participating in the Everybody Wins reading program with her colleagues. In addition to volunteering, Ms. Spector is an avid cook and joins fellow Penn alumni for a weekly dinner club.
