Jennifer Spector
Account Coordinator
Jennifer Spector is an Account Coordinator at The Harbour Group where she supports issues management and public relations campaigns.
Prior to joining The Harbour Group, Ms. Spector was an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania in her hometown of Philadelphia.
Ms. Spector gained professional experience at The Brownstein Group, a full-service advertising agency in Philadelphia, where she worked in the Public Relations Department. She supported health care, consumer, and charitable client accounts by researching industry trends, client competition, and speaking and media opportunities. In conjunction with the account executives, Ms. Spector developed pitch angles, maintained media lists and editorial calendars for clients and supported media outreach efforts.
Before entering the Public Relations field, Ms. Spector was an intern for The Fund for Independence in Journalism (TFIJ), a non-profit in Washington, D.C., where she worked directly with author and investigative journalist Charles Lewis to help create a factual database about the Iraq war. While at TFIJ, Ms. Spector also helped research materials for Mr. Lewis’ upcoming book about the relationship between truth in journalism and Iraq.
At Penn, Ms. Spector majored in Communications, and minored in Political Science. She enjoyed being a volunteer at Career Wardrobe, a non-profit that dresses women for success. Ms. Spector was also a member of West Philadelphia Tutoring Project, as well as an undergraduate advisor for Communications Majors.
